Functional medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual's illness as defined by the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Meet Paige Woodward, NP
Paige Woodward is a Yale trained nurse practitioner with 15 years experience in oncology and has now added functional medicine training to her toolkit. Paige’s goal is to help you heal your body from the inside out. She wants to complement your traditional cancer treatment modalities (chemotherapy, surgery, radiation) by helping you develop tools to improve nutrition and gut health, increase exercise and movement, decrease stress levels, rejuvenate with good quality sleep, and heal the mind-body connection. As the number of new cancer cases continues to rise and cancer remains a leading cause of death worldwide, it is imperative that we use both conventional and functional medicine to improve your health, decrease recurrence rates, and optimize your wellness.
